OUR ETHOS
At Grim Tidings, a few core beliefs drive everything we do:

Diversity
We love giving a voice to underrepresented groups. We write gender, age and race-neutral roles wherever we can, so anyone can audition for pretty much anything! We believe in casting the performer for their performance, rather than for their 'look'.
Seems like it should be bloody obvious, really, doesn't it?

Community
We wouldn't be doing what we're doing if we didn't all come from different backgrounds, and hadn't met different people along the way.
We particularly love working with local people, groups, businesses. We can all bring each other up through collaboration. Keeping it close to home is important to us.
Is that why we usually just end up filming in your mum's?
Transparency
The film industry can be a scary, secretive place.
In the interests of not adding to that, we want to pull back the curtain, show what happens behind the scenes, show the people the film wouldn't exist without.
We want you to see us panicking about getting kicked out of a location. We'll show the moment a cast member decided they wanted an extra hour in bed.
We want to give you an all access backstage pass into the absolute nightmare (and sometimes weirdly smooth) process while we're on set.
I'm always up for watching you break down on set.
That's enough now, Clive.
