OUR STYLE

We focus mainly on narrative fiction; the majority of our projects feature ordinary characters navigating absurd situations.  These protagonists are pushed to extraordinary lengths to navigate the worlds they find themselves in and we like to think of this as Dystopian Realism.

While similar narratives within this genre often feature a reflection of contemporary society, we like to place character at the heart of this experience to truly ground our projects in a great sense of realism. 

We see this as a huge gap in the market for storytelling, and we intend to fill it.

OUR ETHOS

At Grim Tidings, we have a few core beliefs that are at the heart of everything we do:

• Diversity - We believe diversity, inclusiveness and equality should be a primary focus in all things, not just in art, but in life. We're dedicated to providing opportunities to those who may be overlooked and underrepresented.

• Community - They say Home is where the heart is, and we believe this extends beyond your physical home and out to the place you were raised and your local community. We're striving to do more in our community and meet the local people who comprise it's soul.

• Transparency - The film industry isn't exactly a shining example of transparency and has, since it's formation, been a land of opaqueness, scandal, impersonality and pretentiousness. We want to represent what the film industry could be; show you the inner workings, the behind-the-scenes and allow you to see that there is no ego at Grim Tidings. We are all equal and we are all here to have fun!
